We had such a fun and BUSY day in school today celebrating World Book Day. We started with a photo session to show off our PJs and our favourite books, followed by an energetic book-based PE workout in the classroom. We completed an online quiz to find out which book we should read next - The Secret Garden was a popular answer. Some children shared their ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ stories with the Primary One class. Mrs Armstrong visited us as part of our ‘Teach to the Beat’ Music Programme and did some fun musical activities about books - by that stage it was only lunchtime! After lunch, we made personalised bookmarks, drew self-portraits guided by Jeff Kinney (author of ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’)and finally we created our own books using AI. Happy World Book Day!
